What to Expect
Sunday Morning

ALL are welcome to Sunday mornings at Holy Shepherd.

The morning begins with Adult Education at 9:00am, either in the Library (just inside the main door to the left) or Fellowship Hall (just inside the main door to the right). We explore a variety of topics during this time, usually led by one of the pastors with about 25-30 people attending. It's a good way to meet a few people right away.

Worship begins at 10:00am. Our worship services are liturgical, following a traditional pattern, with both familiar and newer words and songs. Worship is supported by both piano and a pipe organ music every week, along with either the chancel choir, bell choir, praise team, or special music most Sundays. Communion is part of worship every Sunday.  You do not need to be a member of Holy Shepherd or a Lutheran to share in communion.

Children are welcome in worship. After a brief children's time with one of the pastors in the front of the sanctuary, children ages 4yrs to 5th grade are welcome to Children's Church led by an adult in a room along the west hallway. Children return to worship in time for communion.

Fellowship follows worship and it a large and lively gathering with snacks and coffee in the Fellowship Hall. This is a time to connect with one another in an informal setting. There is a table for children to color or do crafts also in the Fellowship Hall.

Holy Shepherd is a very accessible building.  Sanctuary, Library, and the Fellowship Hall are all on the main level with no stairs to navigate. Assisted listening devices as well as blue-tooth capability thorugh the app WaveCAST are available in the sanctuary for worship.
